Meet Shanna Stein
Beach, SUP & Aerial Yoga Instructor
Shanna Stein received her initial yoga 200 teacher training in Portland OR in 2013 and quickly qualified for her E-RYT200. Shanna is now working towards her RYT 500.
Shanna first started taking yoga as a method to lose weight. The mindfulness and body awareness that yoga has given her helped her to lose close to 100 lbs. Meditation has helped her focus her mind on her fitness goals and to be more aware of what she eats. Learn more about Shanna and her training on her website: Sacred North
Meet Lynn Upthagreove: Hostess, Paddler and Cedaroma Lodge Innkeeper
A tad nutty and oodles of fun, Lynn first got on the yoga mat with Shanna on May 2, 2015 and hasn't gotten off yet. Within weeks of her first class Lynn started up Yoga-Roma offering yoga on the beach at Cedaroma Lodge with Shanna as the instructor for the 2015 summer season.
In August that year Lynn entered a paddling race and came in second in the women's division for kayaking, but was more intrigued by those racing on the stand up paddle boards. The next day she got on one of the resort boards and only put it away when we got our first winter snows. Paddling has become Lynn's passion and so began Yoga Paddler in the 2016 season blending Lynn's love of both sports... SUP Yoga and the name change to YogaPaddler.
Lynn enjoys a weekly paddle-out on Monday afternoons exploring random area lakes starting in May and invites you to join her. Lynn also hosts the popular Full Moon: Paddle, Dine & Gaz night paddle outings along with the new in 2019 monthly Bittersweet Recreation outings. We have boards to rent or you can meet Lynn at the launch with your own vessel. Check out Facebook.com/yogapaddler for launch locations.
